I’m already feeling the tense of the day and my morning really hasn’t begun yet. I square the baby away in her car seat and prepare to relax myself for the drive to her daycare. As I start the ignition, I’m thinking, “is this car going to start?” It did and I began to drive.

Along the way I’m dodging potholes, road kill, and school-aged children who seem to think that you can still cross the street on a red light. Glancing over at the time, I noticed that I’m somehwat late so I merely pause at stop signs to make up for the time.

After dropping my daughter off and yes rushing just a tad, it appears that everything possible wants to get in my way. And something tells me that I must have “I’m in a rush” sign on my forehead because it seems that these sudden turn of events were taking place on purpose.

So as intensity build up inside me, a person driving a station wagon cuts right in front of me! I’m now screaming at the top of my lungs about how this soccer mom, now driving even slower of course, is in my way!!! How dare she? She knew that I had some place to be. She must have. Could it have been the way that I was driving on her tail? Could it have been the sweat dripping from my wrinkled brow? Or maybe it was the several horn beeps in between the stop signs. Geeesh!! Out of my way lady.

And then comes the guy who decides to make the same turn as I but instead of driving, he constantly hits the breaks. DUDE!!! If you are looking for an address, by all means, PULL OVER!!!!. Why people, why?  

There is no need for me to loose my voice from day care to work. It was a hell of an excuse to be sent home because my boss thought I was sick. So to all my slow driving, patient seekers, in the way mavericks….thank you. A job well done:)….(sigh)
